Brian was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Wantagh, NY while Long Island was still transitioning out of its rural roots. He graduated from Wantagh High School. His parents, Rhoda and Sidney Jaffe, were educators and owned a private school and day camp in Wantagh. He attended Tulane University.

 

He began writing seriously while at Tulane and continued his studies at New York University and the New School in New York where he studied and collaborated with Harold Callen and Flora Rheta Schreiber.

 

In addition to writing Squeaking By  he has written the comedies, “Sunset In Canaan”, “Bloodsucking In America”, and “Skitzofrenia” in which he also appeared. His Off-Broadway parody of fine art auctions, Going Once! Laughing Twice!!  has just completed a successful eight month run at St. Luke’s Theatre in NYC.

 

Brian is married to the popular chef  Numporn Chaweewan, owner of Pad Thai Catering and they have a lovely son, Cooper.  They live in upstate NY and Chantaburi, Thailand.
